SEC Film Committee Presents: 'Pan's Labyrinth' (El laberinto del fauno)

On Wednesday October 3rd, the SEC film committee will be showing 'Pan's Labyrinth' (El laberinto del fauno) in the Texas Union Theatre (UNB 2.228) free for all UT students, faculty and staff.

This three-time academy award-winning movie, written and directed by Guillermo del Torro, is an excellent work that demonstrates the beauty of Spanish cinema.

"In 1944 fascist Spain, a girl, fascinated with fairy-tales, is sent along with her pregnant mother to live with her new stepfather, a ruthless captain of the Spanish army. During the night, she meets a fairy who takes her to an old faun in the center of the labyrinth. He tells her she's a princess, but must prove her royalty by surviving three gruesome tasks. If she fails, she will never prove herself to be the the true princess and will never see her real father, the king, again." -IMDB

The officers of Pepe would like to invite you to attend this event!  It starts at 9pm Weds Oct. 3, but we suggest to get there 30 mins early to get a seat!

So mark your calendars because you're not going to want to miss this!
